MEET TEYHA
(Pronounced Tia)

Teyha established Nurture First to provide families with specialist paediatric dietetic care, with a strong focus on tube feeding support. She has over 10 years’ experience supporting children with nasogastric, gastrostomy and jejunostomy feeding, as well as general infant feeding, restrictive eating (ARFID), neurodivergence and neurodevelopmental related nutrition concerns. Teyha is an SOS-trained Feeding Therapist and also supports feeding challenges associated with disability.​

WHAT WE OFFER

At Nurture First, we deliver expert family-centred paediatric dietetic care, including support for infant feeding, tube feeding, and nutrition management for children with medical or feeding needs. We work collaboratively to understand each child’s unique needs, support positive feeding relationships, and promote health in a way that feels achievable and reassuring.

NUTRITION CONSULTATION

Nurture First offers support for a range of conditions affecting infants, children and young adults.
 

  • ​​Poor growth/weight faltering

  • Weight management (using non diet approach) 

  • Nutrient deficiencies (e.g. iron deficiency)

  • Food intolerance and allergies

  • Fussy eaters and problem feeders

  • Restrictive eating (including ARFID)

  • Autism and ADHD

  • Gastrointestinal conditions

  • Eating disorders (shared care with medical and mental health care providers)

SERVICES FOR NDIS PARTICPANTS

Nurture First offers support for NDIS participants who are plan or self-managed.​​

  • Nutrition assessment and individualised care planning

  • Growth monitoring and ongoing nutrition support

  • Oral nutrition support and tube feeding management (nasogastric, gastrostomy, and jejunostomy)

  • Nutrition support for children with developmental conditions and disability, including feeding management and tailored dietary intervention

PRESENTATIONS & WORKSHOPS

Nurture First delivers both interactive and virtual presentations aimed at parents, caregivers, children, support workers and various professionals.

 

Sessions are designed to meet the needs of your organisation, school, community, or parent group, focusing on family-oriented nutrition an enjoyable and practical manner. ​​

COLLABORATIVE CARE

Nurture First works in close partnership with paediatric specialists, paediatricians, general practitioners, and other allied health professionals across South East Queensland to ensure the best results for families.
